Bruiser’s Bill

Growing up I was inspired by Legally Blonde, (as most young woman are)... a powerhouse woman that accomplishes anything she puts her mind to! The second Legally Blonde addresses the issue of animal testing for cosmetics. Y'all know the stories. And if you don't, this might not be the blog for you.

My point is, early on in my life I was attracted to the idea of products that we can feel good about as a whole, as humanity. I was captivated by Elle Woods' gumption and I was, to say the least, thrilled by the idea of ethical products! A perfect euphoric world filled with ethical, sustainable products.

It wasn't until I reached my twenties that I even started to look at all of my items, particularly my self-care products...and realized how much I was contributing to landfills and all that ocean debris that you see out here at the beaches in LA County.

I'm not exactly a super girly girl, but I have my moments. And I like the idea of knowing that I can get dolled up when I want to. I just don't want to slowly poison myself with toxic chemicals or kill sea turtles in the process. I don't think beauty has to be pain. I think we can achieve beauty in harmony with nature.

This is why I've created The Sustainable Blonde: a collection of blunt-ass reviews and creative ideas for sustainable lifestyle/beauty products. This is going to be my experimental journey of saving the world and looking glamorous while doing it. I appreciate your company and look forward to providing you with some useful content!

Be sure to follow @thesustainableblonde on instagram to keep up with the aesthetic & get the TLDR versions of my full reviews!
